Presently, we are already offering two communication modules, which allow IDtech controllers and time clocks to be wirelessly connected to a central server: the ‘Modem GSM’ and the ‘WiFi’.
Are your company’s sites located far apart? And furthermore, do you lack a standard telephone line or network? The module ‘Modem Dual Band GSM’ is the solution that you are looking for! IDtech developed a solution precisely for situations such as these, which allows the array of IDtech controllers to be wirelessly connected to the server. To enable excellent functioning, the module is perfectly attuned to all the required communication functionality of the controllers. At pre-set times the server contacts every controller in order to synchronize its data with the data of the controller or time clock. The whole procedure is extremely user friendly, quick, reliable, and demands little to no tools: a GSM subscription for the server and pre-paid cards for the controllers are sufficient to channel the communication. Maintenance is also limited to a minimum (you just have to replace the pre-paid cards) and – in case subscriptions are used – maintenance is not required at all.
For companies, which have buildings with considerable wiring problems, IDtech introduces the ‘WiFi’. This module bridges between IDtech controllers and the central operation’s computer in a safe and wireless fashion using the technology of radio frequency. Also this solution is easily installed and leads to a considerable reduction in the costs of use and maintenance (no cable work, a totally electric insulation, etc.). The communication security is guaranteed by four alphanumeric ‘Wired Equivalent Privacy’ (WEP) keys and a mechanism, which filters the TCP/IP addresses. The module is supplied with two integrated (but detachable) omni-directional antennas. For bridging really large distances IDtech also offers unique and stronger antennas (optional).
